Over four years the program went from drama and mediocrity to a state championship, and the article shares reflections from athletic director Shane Backhus and coach Christy Doile on how the covenants changed their culture.

Introduction

Seeing a variety of programs around the nation is fun, the different approaches, methods and styles that coaches use to achieve success. One of the great things we get to do is go back to a school 2-3 times and see how a coach will implement the materials and presentations and then watch the results. As Coach Urban Meyer said earlier this year, "when you got talent you can be good but when you have leadership and commitment that is when special things happen".
