This list is for coaches, ADs, teachers, and business leaders who have gone through the Captains and Coaches Workshop (whether in person or with the DVD). We have tried to discover why some teams struggle to make changes while so many others successfully develop a championship culture. The successful programs do all eight of these things.

The Eight Actions

  1. Coaches really focus on the whole process, realize it is not going to be easy, and put in the work, not looking for any shortcuts. They are intentional (not casual) about every step of the process and take full responsibility for implementation. They have a strong plan for how they are going to introduce the concepts to the team — it isn't somebody else's job. The culture is NOT optional.
  2. The covenants are defined and taught with extreme clarity to prevent individuals from having their own definitions and interpretations.
