A word bank for identifying a team's core covenants. Teams use it to brainstorm and then narrow down (for example, from 10–12 values down to 8, 4, 3, 2, and finally 1 or 2) the standards and commitments they will live by. The words fall into two categories: performance standards and relationship commitments.

Performance Standards

Discipline, mentally tough, coachable, commitment, accountable, courage, energy, prepared, work habits, confident, no excuses, focused, intensity, excellence, toughness, determination, competitive, consistent, relentless, sportsmanship, scholarship, desire, improvement, attitude, perseverance, drive, tenacious, effort, and others.
